What Do You Need to Make Felt Bunny Frame?

• Free Felt Bunny template - to download the file, subscribe to the FunClothCrafts newsletter. In the newsletter, you find a password to the subscriber's Free Downloads Vault

• Felt sheets (find great felt at Benzie Design or find more buying options in the Types of Felt section of How to Sew Felt blog post)

• Scissors (my favorite ones are KAI 5 1/2 inch embroidery scissors or KAI 6 1/3 inch patchwork scissors)

• Sizzix BIGZ Die Flowers 3-D (656545)

• Sizzix Thinlits Abstract Faces (665845)

• Sizzix Thinlits Succulent Wreath (663366)

• Sizzix Big Shot or other Sizzix Die Cut Machine

• Hot Glue Gun (I find Tilswall Hot Melt Glue Gun 50W easy to work with)

• 8-inch Embroidery Wooden Hoop Ring

• Fabric to use as the background in the hoop ring, at least 10 inches in diameter

How to Make Felt Bunny Wall Decor

1. Prepare the fabric that is used as the background in the hoop ring. Place the fabric into the hoop ring.

2. Download and print the free felt bunny template.  

3. Cut the felt shapes from felt.

4. Cut all other felt shapes using Sizzix Dies and your Sizzix machine.

   TIP: New to Sizzix Big Shot? Visit the blog post Learn How to Cut Felt Using Sizzix to explore tips and tricks when cutting felt with Sizzix.

   TIP: If you use Thinlits to cut felt, make sure to go three times through the machine.

5. Design you felt bunny wall decor.

6. Glue felt shapes using hot glue gun. Start from the bunny and then add the embellishments.

7. To finish your felt bunny decor, Flip your bunny wall decor facing down.

8. Cut the background fabric around the hoop, leaving about 1 inch (2,5 cm) of fabric.

9. Stitch long running stitch along the hoop (on the outside), about 1/2 inch from the hoop. Leave longer thread ends.

   TIP: Find all about running stitch in the running stitch tutorial.

10. Gently pull the thread ends to the center and make a knot. This gets the fabric edge facing the middle of the hoop.

11. Hang your adorable Felt Bunny Wall Decor.
